Supply and Demand in Action in the Oil Market
What a surprise! A decrease in production, coupled with an increase in demand => decrease in inventories => an increase in price (WSJ, June 2020). Who knew?

The USA is a mixed economy
Seattle requires "food-delivery app companies to provide gig workers “premium pay” for deliveries in the city" while "prohibiting the companies from raising fees or leaving the city in response, even if the new rule causes them to lose money" (WSJ, June 2020). Is this another step on the Road to Serfdom?

Evidence that the monetary return to studying economics is high
